    About the role

     

    This exciting new role will combine commercial and analytical thinking. Directly reporting to the sales leadership team, you will combine your quantitative and qualitative analysis to influence go-to-market strategies and drive sales team behaviour. Using the Octopus dataset, you will be able to develop actionable insights for the sales team, helping improve KPIs and driving measurable results. Lastly, you will equip the sales managers with analytics to help them coach more effectively and enable a data driven sales culture.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Functions

     

    • Analyse historical customer trends, provide sales team with suggestions on prospective target accounts
    • Develop data driven customer personas in order to identify the advisory firms with the highest potential/propensity for revenue
    • Manage the analytical management dashboards to maintain alignment on key departmental KPIs.
    • Collaborate with the Business Development Management, Product Development and Marketing teams to action your insights.
    • Develop analytics dashboards and insights in order to measure and increase sales effectiveness
    • Measure the impact of your data insights and report to senior management
    • Identify new target markets and key players that allow access to those markets (eg Private Banks, Solicitors)
    • Provide the Sales Management team with intelligence on sales process and trends that can feed into long-term sales strategy
    • Develop the current suite of BDM Management Information tools
    • Present to and work closely together with a wide group of (senior) stakeholder
    • Educate Sales Management on the effective use and analysis of data

    Qualifications

     Job Specific Experience/Technical Skills/Abilities

     

    Previous experience of sales data analysis and data mining

    Proven analysis skills enabling commercial decisions about sales strategy

    Must have had exposure to the sales process, ideally in a sales role or sales management

    Proficient with advanced Excel, SQL and Chartio

    Experience with CRMs, Microsoft Dynamics preferred

    Clear, concise and articulate with a strong ability to be influential when needed

    Presentation skills

    High quality interpersonal skills with honesty and integrity
