About the role

The Recruitment team play an integral part in the Octopus growth story and you will have the opportunity to play a really key part in helping with that growth. You will support the recruitment team and occasionally the wider HR department and be responsible for the end to end administration of the recruitment process across the business.

This is a really busy and fast paced role that enables you to build great relationships with the team and the business. You will also be key in building great partnerships with our candidates, hiring managers and recruitment agencies.

  • You’ll spend the greater portion of your time coordinating and scheduling interviews. You’ll be dealing with busy diaries and scheduling sometimes complex interviews
  • Relationship management with internal business areas, interviewers, recruitment agencies and direct/employee referral candidates
  • Reporting and tracking of candidates within the interview process
  • Becoming a ‘super-user’ of our Applicant Tracking System and generating regular reports and analysis to help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment function
  • Compiling MI and data for use across the team and business
  • Ad hoc project work e.g. agency events, interview training projects, system work etc.

  • You’ll have worked within a busy people focused administrative role in the past (ideally within a recruitment environment) and are likely to be someone who really loves to keep busy
  • You will have worked with busy diaries managing multiple bookings and stakeholders at any one time
  • You get lots of satisfaction from juggling a busy workload and manage to keep calm even when under pressure
  • You’ll know all the tricks of the trade in juggling calendars and ensuring interviews can take place as quickly as possible, maybe pulling in a favour every now and then!
  • You’ll be the type of person whose reflex will always be to help, but, when it’s needed you aren’t afraid to stand your ground
  • You’re meticulous and hate mistakes (although we understand they happen)
  • Excel is definitely not a foreign language to you; analysing and interpreting data in a way that will create efficiencies comes naturally
  • You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and chat to people and are great at building rapport quickly with colleagues and candidates alike
  • You will enjoy thinking about ways we can be improving our service to both customers and candidates alike streamlining processes to create a more efficient and user-friendly environment for everyone.
  • You will be curious and seek to instil automated and digital solutions wherever appropriate
  • You will be comfortable in using technology and leveraging digital applications and media platforms to achieve the best results from your role
  • And finally, you will enjoy being the glue that holds a busy team together ensuring we are operating like a slick machine at all times!

Our Values

Be helpful
