    About the role

    We are looking to hire an experienced Blue Prism Developer that can help us grow our capability. Working with our Operations Division, the role is instrumental in helping us to grow our RPA Automation delivery capability within Operations and the wider business. A major part of the role will be to engage with the middle or senior management representatives to help to identify, develop and deliver Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This will require both technical ability and someone who is happy to interact with multiple stakeholders. You will be expected to play a key role in developing ‘best in class’ RPA Automation business and technical solutions for the different Octopus business lines.


    Key aspects of the role will include:

    • Helping to drive the identification and assessment of processes as suitable for RPA.
    • Creating reusable BP components and associated documentation
    • Building comprehensive business and RPA solutions
    • Providing BAU support for deployed processes
    • Working alongside business SME’s to understand business processes and document requirements
    • Helping to develop a best practice framework
    • Leading and supporting user acceptance testing and go live

    Essential Job Functions


    • Developing and delivery automated processes using Blue Prism.
    • Maintain oversight of deployed processes in a ‘Process Controller’ role
    • Building the RPA brand within Octopus Investments and communicating effectively with different stakeholders.
    • Documenting solutions and presenting them to both business and technical stakeholders
    • Working on multiple in flight projects and prioritizing them based on business need


    • Ability to help with the delivery and integration of a solution to the Business from an Operational perspective.
    • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure suitable resource allocation is made for projects and developments
    • Lead UAT and facilitate design and execution of test scenarios.
    • Provide training on the RPA tool and functionality to relevant stakeholders, developing their relevant skills.


    Driving Change/ongoing improvements

    • Challenge current processes, drive change and proactively realise opportunities for improvement in the business.
    • Management of change requests from stakeholders, from inception to delivery.


    Maintaining what we have

    • Maintain systems by researching and resolving problems. Highlight trends in issues and identify underlying problem so it can be resolved more efficiently.


     Job Specific Experience/Technical Skills/Abilities

    • Ability to demonstrate at least 6 months experience working with Blue Prism with a proven track record of successful automation releases (must be willing to demonstrate ability in a case study situation)
    • The ability to take ownership and work on multiple tasks through to completion
    • Customer Focused
    • Motivated by taking ownership and tackling difficult problems or tasks in a high pressured environment
    • Good leadership skills and hands on team player.
    • Competent with both written and oral communication to stakeholders of varying backgrounds and seniority
    • A flexible, can and will-do attitude
    • IMC Qualification (or similar Financial Services qualification) preferred
