Responsibilities

 

 

  • Researching and analysing new business opportunities and producing clear summaries to enable a lending decision. Where deals do not fit our criteria, look at ways to restructure so we can lend
  • Production of clear and articulate deal synopses to present to credit committee, this will include research and information collation from internal and external sources
  • Designing, amending and updating models for transactions and other business needs; running scenarios on the models

 

 

 

 

Customer Service and Relationship Management

  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service through the management of the development process from start to finish to all parties involved in the transaction
  • Provide indicative terms over the phone and via email to our brokers
  • Chase prospective deals through to application stage, dealing with any queries that may arise
  • Find and build new relationships with prospective companies.
  • Manage, build and maintain relationships with existing and new brokers
  • Provide point of contact for all inbound Broker queries - You will be the shop front of  Octopus Property
  • Support existing and prospective client firms over the telephone and face to face where required
  • Arrange client meetings for External Business Development Managers (EBDMs)
  • Provide support to EBDMs and their clients
  • Manage relationships with professionals (lawyers, QS, asset manager, valuers, brokers, clients) through the deal process

 

Deal Modelling and Development Transaction Analysis

  • Creation of transaction models based on standard templates
  • Performing sensitivity and scenario analysis via standard templates
  • Wider Geographical and Economic review which would impact on the deal
  • Due Diligence including liaison with professional advisors

Qualifications

 

 

  • Proven sales track record or ability to build a sales track record or track record of driving completions
  • Ability to explain Property issues to non-Property Individuals
  • Ability to work with Property Professionals
  • Ability to work independently and manage working on multiple deals at once
  • Proven ability of working under pressure
  • Networking and attend event as and when required
  • To efficiently manage your work load in a fast paced and pressured environment
  • Strong and flexible work ethic
  • Service focused
  • High quality interpersonal skills
  • Positive Winning mentality
  • Ability to build and maintain your own panel of brokers.
  • Attention to detail
  • Relevant IT knowledge (esp. Microsoft Office & Excel)
  • Passion to work towards and exceed sales targets

 

Desirable but not essential

  • Ability to read and understand development cashflows and business plans
  • Ability to understand site layout plans and drawings
  • Ability to read a QS report, analyse, discuss contents confidently with client and credit alike
  • Good understanding of Debt & cash flow Modelling
