Responsibilities

Working within the Group Communications team, you will partner with Octopus Group’s Executive Committee, Senior Management Team and a wide-range of internal stakeholders to lead and implement all internal communications across the Group; providing best-practice communications advice and counsel during a time of significant organisational growth.

Working closely with your colleagues across Communications, including Media Relations and Marketing, you will also partner with other corporate functions including Government Relations, Human Resources and Technology teams, as well as divisional leaders across the Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating content, initiatives, events and programmes, including heading a complete revamp of the organisation’s intranet, in order to deliver a best-practice internal communications agenda across the Group.

  • He/she will excel at setting measurable communications goals to determine the effectiveness of the organisation’s internal communications and drive continuous improvement. An awareness of the latest internal communications techniques and approaches and the ability to apply new technologies to share compelling content, increase engagement and drive cultural change are fundamental to this role.
  • Reporting to the CMO and partnering with a range of senior stake holders throughout the business, you will take a lead role in shaping Octopus Group’s Internal Communications strategy.
  • Develop and implement a creative and engaging communications strategy and plan that supports the growth ambitions and business objectives of the firm
  • Plan, manage and deliver communications for specific firm-wide initiatives
  • To deliver new internal communication channels, appraise and evaluate existing channels
  • Be able to tell stories in a compelling and engaging way

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Previous experience within Professional or Financial Services
• Experience working in a complex organisation, working with multiple stakeholders
• Experience of building strong relationships and influencing senior business leaders
• Experience of creating and executing internal communications strategic projects
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• This role requires someone who can hit the ground running
